Able to accommodate vessels of up to 60 metres LOA and draught of 3.5 metres the dry dock benefits from a hydraulic submerging dock gate, 3 tonne travelling gantry crane and high output single and 3 phase power.
The covered dry dock provides the unique facility of a rolling building allowing for year-round working in all weather conditions. The building is movable to allow access for equipment such as cranes to work on vessels in the dock.
In addition, the site includes fabrication and machine shops. A large joinery shop, ship store is also provided. Offices, toilet and shower facilities is complemented by ample car parking.
In addition to the covered dry dock and on-shore facilities, Ocean Quay also has a 70 metres fully serviced wet dock which allows for work to be carried out on vessels, in dry dock or afloat in the most cost-effective way.

In a move that expands Southampton Marine Services’ dry dock capabilities the partnership provides vessel owners and operators with greater options for docking deeper draft vessels at an English Channel port.
The Adur dry dock has recently accommodated square rigged sailing vessels, yachts, trawlers, tugs, workboats and small ferries.
